Super Sunday is possible if I believe, make and look for opportunities of super(ness).
While eating breakfast with my sons they each explained they are looking forward to school on Tuesday to learn the results of the assessment they completed last week. I was impressed that each wanted feedback on their progress as well as confirmation that they understood the particular content and skills embedded in the first unit assessment. I shared with both that I was proud of them as a mother and a teacher. Isn't that what we want our students/children to do? We want them engaged in learning expriences followed by a demonstration (assessment) of their knowledge and abilities and complimented by the interest to know how they did. Positive Mindset
Below is a graphic depicting the difference between a Growth Mindset and Fixed Mindset.
Fixed Mindset vs. Growth Mindset |
My next steps to create a super Sunday is to jump into the reading and writing that needs to get done. I will embrace the worry and anxiety and turn those feelings into pride by completing important work.
